• Retouch mode allows you to select and manually edit every single frame in a scene. The supplied tools can be used to easily disguise small dropouts or other unwanted elements. Special copy brushes are provided alongside the standard drawing tools.

• An image correction mode lets you correct such things as brightness, contrast, color and RGB. What is more, the corrections do not necessarily need to be applied to the whole frame - instead you can choose to apply them only to defined areas of the image and even with varying intensity. If, for instance, your recording is too dark in the lower part of the picture but the sky is well lit, you can correct the problem easily using the mask function included in "Akaba – New Concept".

• The Drawmode provides all the standard options for creating drawings. You can draw lines, circles, polygons and other shapes using a wide variety of tools and customizable settings. You can create graphics or unusual titles. If you like, you can then make your graphics move across the scene – similar to the feature provided by our "PIP-Studio" software.

Drawing mode provides many different types of pencils and brushes that can be customized to suit your needs. In this example, we cut the fish out of a video image and then defined it as a brush so that we can make a scaled down mirror image of it and insert it into another video.

PIP Studio

 

 

The PIP-Studio program is based on the Casablanca’s popular Picture-in-Picture feature but this enhanced program offers numerous additional functions that provide you with a whole range of new, different options. If you've been wanting an easy moving Picture-In-Picture solution; now you have it!

Of course, PIP-Studio uses the well known and easy Casablanca user-interface. With it, you can:

- various shapes (rectangle, circle, heart, star, ...)
- select any size
- select any position
- change the border in size and color
- change the drop-shadow in size and direction
- independant transparency of picture, border and shadow
- pre-defined effects
- freely editable movement and transparancy for IN and OUT effect
PIP-Studio will let you place a scene anywhere within another scene and inside various different shapes. Let your scenes fly in and out of the picture or allow them to fade in and out anywhere you like!


PIP-Studio comes with twelve different shapes (e.g. rectangle, circle, heart) within which your video scenes can appear. The shapes can be sized and freely positioned to suit your requirements.

You can also adjust the shadow or configure the transparency and blur properties of the picture, border and shadow separately. Let your imagination run wild!

Magic Lights

Blue Box World

 

 

The Casablanca Bluebox effect has got you interested? Then "Bluebox World" is just the right product for you. A broad range of newly developed effects opens up a whole new world of possibilities.

Compared with the classic Bluebox effect, you can now select the area to be masked by way of its color, shade of color, brightness or saturation. Even black is supported as a mask color (super-black).

The faded in objects can be given a transparent appearance, you can add an aura to them or place a shadow behind them. Special fade-ins and fade-outs are also possible so you can make people or objects appear or disappear with great effect.

You can also change selected colors and therefore do such things as make a green shirt turn blue. Or what about those advertisements that you may have seen in which everything turns black and white except for one color? That is no problem at all for "Bluebox World". Additional applications which you can use to mask, move or copy objects round off the package and make it a real must for every Bluebox artist.

The Deluxe 3D Titler is a significant addition to the standard Casablanca titler. With this software, you can create complex 3D titles that move in an arbitrary pattern. The high quality and smooth movements are truly impressive yet simple to create. Looping, letters flying towards the viewer and any form of rotation amount to a very creative titling package.
Creating titles is based on the existing font packages and allows for multiple settings. Apart from the usual format settings, there are light sources and 3D intensity.

The font can be adapted with any color and "clothed" with available textures from the Image Pool.

Simply define the movement with the "Pre-Motion Mode" which gives excellent and fast control with just a few parameters. The results are fascinating. Alternatively, using "Free Motion", the movement can be defined totally independently.

Disk Transfer

Disk Transfer brings great new capabilities to your Casablanca II. With Disk Transfer you select up to 20- minutes from any of your scene bins to save to DVD as AVI files. This is a great medium for archiving/backing up key scenes (remember with the instant scene function of SmartEdit 3 you can make composite scenes of your company logo, program opens, etc).

Disk transfer also provides a great way to share program material between Casablanca units as well as with PC/Mac computers. You can take your program elements, created on your Casablanca II and save them to DVD bring them to a colleague who can then download the material onto their Mac/PC. Or you can take animations or other materials from your PC/Mac, save as AVI file onto a DVD and then import that material onto your Casablanca II via Disk Transfer.

Disk Transfer also opens greater efficienty for importing motion graphics from some of the industry leaders. For example you can put a DIgital Hotcakes DVD into your Casablanca DVD drive and use Disk Transfer to download either one motion animation or the entire disk at once! (with Disk Transfer you have the ability to import scenes either one at a time or the entire DVD folder).
